Book of the Month: Cancer Etiquette

Each month the Health and Education Resource Center website highlights a title from the print collection.  This month's featured title is Cancer Etiquette III.  This is a short book, with less than 150 pages.  None-the-less, it is densely packed with useful information for anyone who interacts with someone who is living with cancer.  The chapters discuss things such as word usage, actions, and gift-giving.  Each chapter has further divisions - sections that are about half a page long.  Everything from "Respect[ing] the Patient's Wishes" to "Visiting at Home" is addressed.  The book is filled with real-life examples of things people have said and done, some negative and some positive.  The author also gives her suggestions for alternatives that may have been a better choice.
