B2SB2: Back to School Blast 2

Hassenfeld's 2008 Back to School Blast is planned for Thursday, August 21, 2008 from 3:00PM to 6:00PM at the Hassenfeld Clinic.  The Back to School Blast will feature an interactive hands-on science project, a visit by the New York City Fire Department, visits from the NYULMC's School of Dentistry, a class for parents, and many other fun activities to help Hassenfeld patients and their siblings get ready for the new school year.

Introducing Waggit's Tale

Hassenfeld pet therapy team Peter Howe and Rocco have written a new book called Waggit's Tale. Waggit's Tale is the story of dog who becomes unexpectedly lost in a large city park. After being befriended by Tazar, an experienced and natural pack leader, Waggit has a number of suspenseful and funny adventures while he learns lessons of friendship, forgiveness, and courage. Hassenfeld patients and family members are welcome to check out the library's copy of Waggit's Tale for a great summer read.

AMNH Moveable Museum at Family Fun Day

The American Museum of Natural History’s Moveable Museum will be part of the 2008 Hassenfeld’s Family Fun Day on Saturday July 19, 2008 at 630 Second Avenue (34th Street at 2nd Avenue) in Manhattan. The Moveable Museum is a 37-foot long bus that has been transformed into a travelling hands-on exhibit that spotlights science, astronomy, and social studies lessons for children of all ages.
