On-site resources

The Patient & Family Resource Center, NYU Langone Medical Center's consumer health library, is located on the first floor of the Schwartz Health Care Building, just past the Blood Donor Center.  This library, which serves Medical Center patients, families, caregivers, and patient care providers, shares space with the Diabetes Education Center, which has offices in the back.

Patrons who visit the Resource Center in person will find four computers for public use.  The primary purpose of these computers is for finding health information.  Computer time is limited to 30 minutes per session when others are waiting.

In addition to public access computers, the Resource Center also offers pamphlets and brochures on various health topics, as well as a book collection.  Titles include reference works such as dictionaries and directories, medical encyclopedias, clinical textbooks, books on specific diseases and conditions, and more.  Books are for on-site use only.
